Description

A warm and crispy sandwich that combines the rich flavors of fresh mozzarella and aromatic basil pesto.


Ingredients

  • Fresh Mozzarella
  • Basil Pesto
  • Rustic Bread or Baguette
  • Olive Oil
  • Freshly Ground Pepper

Instructions

  1. Place two slices of bread on a clean surface.
  2. Spoon a generous amount of basil pesto on one slice of bread, leaving some edge to prevent overflow.
  3. Slice the mozzarella and evenly distribute it on top of the pesto.
  4. Cover with the other slice of bread.
  5. Heat a grill pan or panini press and drizzle some olive oil for crunch.
  6. Place the sandwich in the pan and press lightly to cook evenly.
  7. Grill for about 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping carefully with a spatula.
  8. Cut the panini diagonally and serve hot to enjoy the flavors.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Let mozzarella sit at room temperature before slicing for added creaminess. Preheating the grill surface is key for perfect crunch.
